HISTORY
Having the highest degree of experience and actual first hand knowledge of what did not work compelled a challenge for product development as well as negating possible personal financial liability that could ensue for selling a failed system. Dallas Drain Company, Inc. purposely devoted a substantial portion of funding and personal involvement in developing French drain pipe. Our general clientele became a laboratory of study with actual situations not available in any other formal forum study. The key need appeared to be the seemingly impossible task of developing a "filter free" perforated French pipe. However, Ralph’s plumbing experience provided examples of pipe systems that would flush waste materials from water closets and sink garbage disposals without stoppage problems. A similar style of smooth bore piping and special slotting process developed into a patented "filter free" product, certainly a revolution in mechanisms dependent on filters which always require cleaning or replacement. The service requirements in air conditioning and vehicle oil systems etc is wearisome but allows access for changing filters. French drain filter material cannot be cleaned or changed since cost would be equal to new installation.
Dedication and experience exceeding forty-five years resulted in a major key to sub-surface water control, FASP® (French Angle Slotted Pipe) "Filter Free" Pipe. Installation practices and problem resolution evolved along with this high performance product. In order that FASP Pipe could perform to its greatest potential, research, study, analysis and system design along with development of peripheral products deserved professional personal involvement. Kevin Travis, B.S.M.E.—Texas A & M University as a principal of Dallas Drain Company, Inc. adds substantial benefits from years of experience in related construction, landscape and site development. In addition to practical application experience history, Kevin’s professional design approach is an added dimension to assure consistency and leadership at the highest level of the drainage industry.
