GENERAL  MAINTENANCE   GUIDE

POP-UP EXHAUST:   Pop-up exhausts are usually located in the yard to exhaust limited amounts of water intake such as an isolated gutter down spout.  It is an approximately 6" solid ring frame and a center disk that "pops-up" to exhaust water and also some debris.  **Routine Maintenance Tip** - Periodically or as needed, lift the unit up and dip out debris, if any, that has not flushed out.

DRAIN BASIN (Box Style):  Most grates are either 9” or 12” in diameter which lift off for access to clean out sediment in bottom of basin which should be done as needed on a regular basis.

DRAIN BASIN (Shallow Set):  This is the most preferred  fixture since it flows clear of water due to its funnel shape.

DOWN SPOUT ADAPTORS:  Down spout adaptors may be subject to tree leaf build-up in the actual down spout riser or adaptor which should be cleaned out regularly especially during seasonal tree defoliation.

ROOF GUTTERS:  Roof gutters need cleaning to remove tree leaf accumulation and debris.  **Routine Maintenance Tip**  Should be water flushed to limit build-up of dust particles washed from the roof.
