GENERAL MAINTENANCE GUIDE |
DALLAS DRAIN COMPANY, INC. Drainage Systems are custom engineered for each site to provide problem resolutions and meet customer objectives. To assure the best or optimum long-term performance of a drainage system, periodic scheduled inspections and general overall maintenance is recommended. The following items with performance and service needs are outlined or briefed. Specific items should be matched to your system for consideration of service. Each individual custom designed system may not include all listings.
DUAL FLOOD EXHAUST: Consists of two (2) - 6" grates located at line exhaust point, usually near walk or alley. The grates may "pop-off" with high water flow when debris from roof gutters or drains collect in the main line. *Routine Maintenance Tip** - Lift up the grates by hand & dip out debris periodically as needed. Also, be sure that along with mowing and edging that grass is cleared from all grate fixtures.
CURB EXHAUST: Typically the curb exhaust is a 3" open end through curb from main line at Dual Flood Exhaust. This will limit water retainage in the main line and limit excess wetness at the Dual Flood Units. Curb Exhausts are basically maintenance free.
